What is GolfTab?
GolfTab is a mobile app for tracking golf games and running tabs between friends. It supports Nassau, Wolf, Skins, Match Play, Stableford, and fully custom game formats. One scorer enters the round; everyone sees who owes what at the end.
Does GolfTab process payments?
No. GolfTab is a recordkeeping tool only. The app tracks game outcomes and calculates who owes whom based on amounts you and your group agreed to. GolfTab does not process, hold, transfer, or facilitate any monetary transaction. Settlement is always between players.
How do I create an account?
Download GolfTab from the App Store or Google Play, open the app, and tap "Create Account." You'll need an email address and a password, or you can sign in with a supported third-party provider.
How do I start a round?
From the home screen, tap "New Round," select a course (or create one), add your players, choose a game format, and set the amounts your group agreed to. One person acts as the scorer and enters each hole as you play.
How do I add players who don't have the app?
You can add any player by name — they don't need a GolfTab account. Their scores, handicap, and any tab balance will be tracked under the name you entered.
Can I edit a score after I enter it?
Yes. Tap the hole in the scorecard to correct any entry. Settlement math recalculates automatically.
How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your account email. We'll send you a reset link. If you don't receive it within a few minutes, check your spam folder or email support@golftab.app.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. You can also email support@golftab.app to request deletion. Your personal data will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days of the request.
Is my data private?
Yes. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and game data is only visible to players you add to a round. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The app is crashing or behaving strangely. What should I do?
Please try the following, in order: (1) force-quit and reopen the app; (2) make sure you're on the latest version from the App Store or Play Store; (3) restart your device. If the issue persists, email support@golftab.app with a description of what you were doing when it happened, your device model, and your OS version.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Send an email to support@golftab.app. Screenshots and step-by-step reproduction notes are extremely helpful. We read every message.
